Trans Karachi is a Public Sector Company established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 to carry out the project implementation, management and maintenance of urban rapid transit projects in Karachi including the Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line Project. The project is sponsored by the Transport and Mass Transit Department and the Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), Government of Sindh, with financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and co-financiers, including the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (Ale), the French Agency for Development (AFD), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The Karachi BRT Red Line project will deliver a sustainable urban transport system that focuses on accessibility and people's mobility needs. It is anticipated that 320,000 passengers would travel daily on the buses of the BRT Red Line in the city. It is also anticipated that direct employment to be generated via execution of the project will be 2,118 jobs, including 1,424 jobs for station services such as ticketing, security. and cleaning, and 615 jobs in bus operations such as driving. conducting, and mechanics. The company is seeking for dynamic, experienced and self-driven professionals for the following positions.
Sr. No 1. Name of Post National Technical Advisor Position: 01 Job Profile The role of National advisor is to advise and assist Chief Operating Officer (C00) in management and implementation of Karachi BRT Red Line Project. He/she will assist in developing strategic relationships with other divisions, outside agencies, development partners, general public, system users and private partners for effective project execution and day to day operations. He/she will also support in securing NOCs and approvals from government departments and in land acquisition and resettlement. Qualification, Experience and Salary Package Qualification: Minimum Bachelor degree in civil I engineering / transport planning / transport engineering ,F, transport planning and engineering or related discipline from a HEC recognized university. Foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Experience: At least 12 years relevant experience including 8 years at a senior management level position. A minimum of 5 years of experience of urban infrastructure transport sector projects in Pakistan is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage. Salary Package: Market based competitive salary package. 2. Manager Implementation Position: 01 The Manager Implementation will have overall responsibility for the construction of Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line. He/she will plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process from hiring of contractors through final construction. He/she will oversee the performance of all contractors making sure that the project is completed within the prescribed timeframe, quality and funding parameters. Qualification: Master degree in civil engineering / construction management / project management / management or related discipline with Bachelor in civil engineering from a HEC recognized university. Foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage. Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience including 5 years as a construction manager. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in similar sector is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage. Manager Environment and Social Safeguards Position: 01 Manager Environment and Social Safeguards will lead land acquisition and resettlement processes during project planning, processing and implementation phases and will ensure all activities being planned and implemented under TransKarachi are compliant with applicable national and international environment and social safeguard requirements. Qualification: Master degree in sociology / anthropology/ land administration/ development economics / Environmental Sciences or related discipline from a HEC recognised university. Lpx Experience At least 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable. Salary Package: Market based competitive salary package. 4. Manager Media Relations Position: 01 The Manager Media Relations will lead the creation of executive communication materials and will establish a proactive media relations program to support TransKarachi's corporate and business strategies. He/she will be responsible for all communication and public relations activities and will provide strategic advice and support regarding media. relation with public and clients and corporate communication. Qualification: Master degree in media relations / communications / journalism, publishing, public relations, or related discipline from a HEC recognized university Foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage Experience: At least 10 years of post-qualification relevant experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable Salary Package: Market based competitive salary package. 5. Project Coordination Specialist Position: 01 The Project Coordination Specialist will support the Project Implementation Unit in overall management and project implementation of Karachi BRT Redline project, involving coordination of activities, convene and/or attend project meetings including progress review meeting, field visit, arrange NOCs and government approvals, monitoring, maintenance of records, certification of works, and progress reporting. Qualification: Master degree in engineering / engineering management 1 planning I transport planning and engineering,/ general management I urban development / social sciences or related discipline from a HEC recognized university. Experience: At least 7 years of experience in project management/coordination/planning or general management. A minimum of 5 years of experience of urban transport sector projects in Pakistan is highly desirable. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable. Relevant International work experience will be considered an added advantage. Salary Package: Market based competitive salary package 6. Administrative Assistant Position: 04 The role of Administrative Assistant is to provide clerical support including organizing files, scheduling appointments, talking minutes, proofreading, receiving guests and arranging meetings. Qualification: At least intermediate (12' Grade), preferable Bachelor degree from a HEC recognised University. Experience: At least 5 years secretarial, general administration experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable. Salary Package: Market based competitive salary package 7. Office Helper Position: 02 The role of Office Helper is to provide assistance to officers and staff by performing menial office tasks. Qualification: At least Matriculation (10' Grade) passed. Experience: At least 5 years in an office environment. Working experience in a multinational firm / banks international Fast Food chains is highly desirable. Salary Package: Market based competitive salary package
