GOVERNMENT OF SINDH SINDH ENHANCING RESPONSE TO REDUCE STUNTING PROJECT (P161624) Request for Expressions of Interests (Individual Consultants)
This request for Expressions of Interests / applications follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in UN Development Business No. WB4788-08117 of August 18, 2017. The Government of Pakistan has obtained a "Credit" from the International Development Association for executing an action plan for reduction of stunting and malnutrition in Sindh, through the project "Sindh Enhancing Response to Reduce Stunting" being implemented the Planning and Development Board, Government of Sindh, and it is intended to apply part of the proceeds of this credit for payments to the following "Individual Consultants' Services" to be procured under this project. Sindh Enhancing Response to Reduce Stunting Project is now invited from eligible individuals to indicate their interest in providing the services of individual consultants. Interested specialists must provide detailed CVs indicating their qualifications, eligibility, and ability to perform the services.
Sr.# Position Required Qualification Experience 1. Environmental Specialist Master's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences. Health Sciences or a related field from HEC recognized University At least 8 years of relevant experience; after acquiring stipulated qualification, in Environmental Impact Assessment. Environment Management Plan. Environment Health & Safety, planning / designing, implementing, training, monitoring, and evaluating SHE&Q related activities. Specialized training ISO 9001-2015, Quality Management — Systems, ISO 14001. Occupational Health & Safety. ISO-22000, Quality Assurance, or any other skill considered relevant for the position. Experience of working infrastructure projects (consultancy + works) / Projects funded by donor agencies shall be preferred Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Economics, or relevant field with a strong emphasis on data analytics and statistics from Higher Education Commission recognized University At least 08 years of professional experience after acquiring stipulated qualification in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation on development programs / projects with prior experience of developing and implementing M&E strategies / frameworks and World Bank funded projects. The candidate should have knowledge of major quantitative and qualitative monitoring methodologies and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools with extensive experience in the design and implementation of capacity building activities in M&E. He/she should have high level of proficiency in Windows MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Statistical Software (SPSS, STATA) along documentary verifiable advanced skills in data analytics, and report writing 3. Social & Safeguard Specialist Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Economics or relevant field with focus on Community Development, Participatory Rural Appraisal A minimum of 08 years of relevant experience after acquiring stipulated qualification in social development and working knowledge in the World Banks (or similar) Social and Environmental safeguards policies. Experience with Community development, gender mainstreaming issues, vulnerable and marginalized Group and Participatory approaches. a Direct experience in working on implementation of Social Assessment, Resettlement Action Plan, Vulnerable and Marginalized Group Plan. Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental Management Plan and other environmental and social safeguard issues preferably in conservation organization or large industries in any private or public sector are an added advantages. Good communication skills both verbal and written 4. MIS / IT Specialist At least a Master's degree (sixteen years of education) from Higher Education Commission recognized University Computer Sciences / MIS / Computer Engineering / IT or relevant discipline from reputable local or foreign institution. A certificate / diploma in MIS from reputable local or foreign institution will be accorded due weight-age Should have at least 8 (Eight) years experience after acquiring stipulated qualification in MIS I IT / Data Management Field with the public / private projects. Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated Computer Skill (Proficiency in using computer desktop application MS Office (Word, Excel. and PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills in English & Urdu. Must be well versed with database (selected) findings from other reliable surveys and third party validations SAP Consultant / Specialist A SAP Certified Professional with at least a Master's degree from Higher Education Commission recognized University in Computer Sciences / IT or related field from reputable local or foreign institution. A certificate / diploma In SAP Certification from reputable local or foreign institution will be essential Should have at least 5 (Five) years experience after acquiring stipulated qualification, in the SAP systems. which can include implementing standards and requirements, overseeing upgrades, establishing processes for monitoring performance, and system configuration, design, and application. Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills in English
