PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION UNIT, LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT Applications are invited for the following posts in the Project Implementation Unit of Foreign Funded Project in Local Government Department, Government of Sindh purely on the contract basis. Staff appointed under the project will be purely on contractual basis drawing salary from the project financed by the World Bank. Extension will be granted on the basis of satisfactory performance evaluated jointly by the PIU and the donor agencies. No employee so employed under the project will be eligible for the regularization of his I her services under the government rules at any later stage.

Social Safeguard Specialist 01 Bachelors' / Masters degree in Social Sciences (development studies, resettlement planning, sociology, human geography, anthropology) 15 years experience in resettlement management, implementation of social safeguards in infrastructure projects specially in Urban Settings. Strong knowledge of the social safeguards policies and environment and social frameworks, and compliance requirements of IFIs (e.g. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, JICA etc.) Strong knowledge of relevant Federal, provincial, and local laws, standards, regulations. and policies. Strong knowledge of methods, techniques, and practices for resettlement planning, social impact assessments and surveys. Excellent report writing and communication skills in Urdu and English. Hands-on computer skills (MS Office complete). CO. Environment Safeguard Specialist 02 Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences / Engineering 15 years relevant experience in preparation and implementation, and monitoring / supervision of environmental impact assessment and environmental management plan of various projects, preferably in municipal services sector Well versed with national and international standards for Environment Quality Experience in occupational health and safety and community health and safety is preferred. Experience of similar work on World Bank Financed projects using the World Bank Safeguard Policies and EHS Guidelines and procedures will be a strong advantage. Familiarize with public sector tendering / contracting principles and practices 5. Assistant Manager Finance 01 ACA. ACMA. ACCA. MBA (Finance), Masters in Accounting and Finance, or MS Finance, M.
