Overseas Ph.D. Scholarships under HEC funded Project titled:
Establishment of School of Professional Development at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University Quetta.
Applications are invited from female candidates having Local/Domicile Certificate of Balochistan Province for award of Overseas Scholarships for Ph.D. preferably for European & Scandinavian Countries for following disciplines:
1- Home Economics
2- Fine Arts
3- Fashion Designing

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
a) Applicant must be female Pakistani National having Local/Domicile of Balochistan.
b) For Ph.D. program candidate must have completed 18 years of HEC recognized education in relevant discipline.
c) Candidate must have acquired the requisite academic qualification on or before the closing date.
d) In case the candidate's MPhil/ MS degree is in process, she can also apply on hope basis but she must have to complete the MPhil degree within the specified time. No payment will be made by the university during the completion of MPhil/ MS Degree.
e) Maximum two second divisions and no third division throughout academic career.
The candidate applying for PhD scholarship should have a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 (in semester system) or First Division (in annual system) in MS/MPhil or equivalent degree.
f) Maximum age on application closing date:
a) 40 years for full time regular faculty members of University.
b) 35 years for all other candidates. Must have minimum 50 marks in HEC Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by HEC for overseas scholarships.
h) HEC will conduct the HAT test for those short listed candidates who have not cleared this test before.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
a) Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of Merit only to Local/Domicile of Balochistan b) The applicants who are presently employed should apply through proper channel i.e. NOC from the employer. However advance copies of application with complete documents will be accepted with complete attached supporting documents. c) Short listed candidates will be interviewed by Scholarship Management Committee. d) Selected candidates will have to execute Agreement Bond to serve SBKWU for five years after successful completion of studies as per SBKWU rules_ e) Candidates who is already availing any other HEC/SBKWU scholarship is NOT eligible to apply. f) Candidate have to seek admission by herself (preferably in European/Scandinavian University) where the bench fee are minimum. Selected candidates may be required to fulfill the requirement of host country/university to secure admission, which may include international GRE, TOEFL, IELTS etc. h) Selected candidates who are not faculty member of SBKWU will go through the selection process of the University. If approved by the selection , the scholar will be awarded without pay till completion of their studies. The emoluments will start once they join the SBKWU after the successful completion of their studies abroad. i) Award of scholarship will only be confirmed after faculty appointment and grant of study leave as per rules of the University. In-service candidates and those who are faculty member at other universities will also go through selection procedure of the University if they are considered for award of scholarship. In that case they will have to resign from their current employment. Terms and conditions of their appointment will be same as mentioned above.

Application must be submitted to Project Management Office, SBKWU Quetta Campus maximum by February 28, 2019 during office hours. Incomplete & late applications will not be entertained.
