PAKISTAN is desirous of expanding and improving its petroleum refining and petrochemical base domestic demand for petroleum products. PARCO Coastal Refinery Limited (PCRL) has embarked oil refinery of 250,000 BPD capacity at Khalifa Point, near the coastal city of Karachi, Pakistan. PCRL is seeking applications for the following positions:
Qualifications & Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a PEC accredited university. Comprehensive know operations of licensing units. Included amongst other responsibilities are process optimization and rationalization, providing process engineering support, coordination with all project stakeholders, review of project related reports, etc.
SAFETY OFFICER
Qualifications & Competencies: DAE or B. Tech in a relevant discipline from a recognized institute. The candidate must be fully conversant with OFISAS, NEBOSH, IOSH and other safety standards and should be able to conduct risk assessment, site audit and root cause analysis. The candidate must be computer literate. Experience: At least 10-15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry. Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for maintaining safe work environment, enforcing safety procedures and complying with legal and technical regulations with zero loss to life and property. The candidate must ensure safety standards during construction activities. The candidate should assist in preparing trainings, drills, PPEs compliance, safety protocol requirements and reports on the safety of the project.
SURVEYOR
Qualifications & Competencies: DAE or B. Tech in Civil Technology from a recognized institute. The candidate should be conversant with topographic mapping, land survey computation, preparing land utilization plan, photogrammetry (3D modeling), GPS, computer-assisted drafting, etc. The candidate should be a confident person having ability to lead the survey team. Experience: At least 15 years of relevant experience in topographic surveys with at least 5 years of working as lead surveyor on projects in Oil & Gas Industry. Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for supervising overall topographic and reconnaissance survey work at project site, coordinate with the contractor's survey team, and provide guidance and technical support to survey teams. The person will also be responsible for reviewing existing and preliminary survey drawings, refinery specifications as required in execution of survey work, providing assistance in developing survey maps, etc.
QUALITY CONTROLLER
Qualifications & Competencies: DAE or B. Tech in Civil Technology from a recognized institute. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of concrete, steel reinforcement, water proofing and other civil works, latest tools, techniques and methods for underground and overhead structures. The job requires complete understanding of civil engineering drawings as well as writing and reviewing civil engineering reports. The candidate must be fully conversant with BS, ASTM codes and standards. The candidate must be computer literate. Experience: At least 10-15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry. Responsibilities: • Preparing, monitoring and controlling QA/QC plans. • Ensuring that work is carried out as per specifications, keeping within the budget and timelines. • Testing of soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, pre-cast, or steel.
