(Artificial Intelligence (Al) Applications in Health) The Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) established as a constituent center of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Science (ICCBS), one of premier research establishments in the developing world. The main objective of the PCMD is to train highly qualified manpower in the emerging new fields of Molecular Medicine and Drug Development. The academicians, clinicians, and pharmaceutical researchers are brought together to translate basic scientific discoveries into new therapies, vaccines and diagnostic tests. PCMD is now in process of setting up the state of the art Al center in health at its prestigious campus in Karachi. The ICCBS currently recruiting for research and development scientists in Artificial Intelligence to work on healthcare systems and applications. The selected candidates require to work in a fast paced environment to develop Al applications to address Pakistan's growing health challenges. This team will be responsible for using machine learning, artificial intelligence and advanced mathematical/statistical techniques for application of data for automated and early diagnosis of diseases Potential applications include diabetic retinopathy, digital pathology. personalized medicine, and automated medical image analysis, virtual reality for medical training and clinical decision support systems for improving performance of medical professionals and helping clinicians for right prognosis. A. ASSISTANT PROFESSORS (COMPUTER (02) SCIENCES) ku
Pay Scale (Rs. 130,000- 8,937- 264,055) as per ICCBS TTS Statutes Candidate should have Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences from HEC recognized University/Institution with at-least 1 year of post- doctoral teaching/research experience in theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and four research publications in internationally abstracted impact factor journals in relevant field.
B. ASSISTANT PROFESSORS (02) (MEDICAL IMAGING / COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY I BIOINFORMATICS / BIOSTATISTICS)
Pay Scale (Rs. 130,000- 8,937- 264,055) as per ICCBS TTS Statutes Candidate should have Ph.D. degree in Medical imaging or Computational Biology. Bioinformatics or Biostatistics from HEC recognized University/Institution with at-least 1 year of post- doctoral teaching/research experience in practical and theoretical aspects of medical imaging, digital pathology, bio- statistics, genome processing, and clinical aspects of the medical data, and four research publications in internationally abstracted impact factor journals in relevant field. C. POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS (02) (Salary to Commensurate with Qualifications and Experiences) Candidates should have Ph.D. degrees in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence / Medical Imaging or Biostatistics or Bioinformatics or Computational Biology with strong expertise in theoretical and mathematical modelling of machine learning and Al approaches with good track record of publications in leading Al and machine learning conferences and journals. In addition to minimum requirements mentioned above candidates having industrial experience in implementing machine learning and artificial intelligence models for medical applications, challenging the status quo in the healthcare space and experimental experience of large data sets, formulating hypotheses and Al/machine learning knowledge to generate insights for target applications must be prefer.
D. SOFTWARE ENGINEERS (02) (Salary to Commensurate with Qualifications and Experiences) Candidates should have MS / M. Sc. degrees in Computer Science. Software Engineering or a related discipline along with following experience: Data scientists having implement machine learning and deep learning tools and technologies on real world datasets * Practical experience of developing Al applications using real word datasets • Practical experience of large scale data management and system modelling experience in executing machine learning pipelines Exposure to cloud computing frameworks or high-performance computing will be added benefit. RESEARCH OFFICERS (08) (Salary to Commensurate with Qualifications and Experiences) Candidates should have MS/M.Sc/BS degrees in Bioinformatics, Biomedical, Satistics, or Mathematics or Engineering or Computer Science along with following experience: Practical experience of developing Al applications using real word datasets Practical experience of large scale data management and system modelling experience in executing machine learning pipelines Exposure to cloud computing frameworks or high-performance computing will be added benefit.
