CAREER OPPORTUNITIES (Manager Litigation)
One of the largest banks of the country is inviting applications against the following positions from professionals with proven track record and capacity to perform as a catalyst for transformation in a challenging environment in the area of Legal. The individuals who fulfill the below-mentioned basic eligibility criteria may apply for the following positions:
01 Position/ Job Title: Manager Litigation — Karachi Academic / Professional Qualification • Minimum Bachelors' Degree in Law from a University / Institute recognized by HEC. Experience • Minimum 7 years' of relevant experience in handling Legal affairs of the Bank. Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities • To vet / draft pleadings both of Civil and Criminal nature for their filing in different Courts of Law upto the Supreme Court of Pakistan; • To process engagement of lawyers for filing and defending cases by and against the Bank before various courts, judicial/ quasi-judicial forums; • To formulate the best-suited as well as the cost-effective strategies regarding legal course of action to be adopted by the Bank in consultation with the dealing Advocates for different court cases; • To render legal advice to different business segments of the Bank, as and when required, on their pending litigation enabling the concerned quarters to take effective decisions with a view to safeguard the Bank's interest; • To liaison and coordination with the dealing advocates to supervise and enhance the dealing Advocates' performance as well as ensuring compliance on the part of the cases pending before different courts; • To manage the litigation portfolio of the Bank for Karachi Region in order to enhance the overall performance of cases. • To obtain and maintain updates on the progress of cases of the Bank before Banking Courts and High Court, with effective follow up with the dealing lawyers and the Bank with a view to effect speedy recovery in such cases. • To coordinate with different departments of the Bank for their feedback/input/compliance for cases pending before different Courts of law. • Any other miscellaneous or ancillary task assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or the Litigation Head from time to time. 02 Position/ Job Title: Legal Consultant HR — Karachi & Lahore Academic I Professional Qualification • Minimum Bachelors' Degree in Law from a University / Institute recognized by HEC. Experience • Minimum 7 years' of relevant experience in handling HR related Legal affairs of the Bank. Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities • To handle the HR related cases & coordinates with relevant department of HR department/wing of HRM Group and with concerned HR wing/department of Regions i.e. Quetta, Karachi, Larkana, Sukkur & Hyderabad Region. • To prepare nomination letter for engagement of BLA to defend Bank in HR related courts cases and coordinate with advocate for follow up and timely progress reporting of critical cases to seek information in respect of HR related court cases from BLAs and Regions after / before court hearing of the cases. • To handle Complaints / Legal Notice received against Bank from aggrieved person and forwarding it to respective Regions / Legal Counsels for settlement and disposal. • To coordinate for timely provision of available material / documentary evidence to the respective Regions / dealing Advocates of the assigned Region and to Liaison with counsels who are dealing with cases on behalf of the bank in connection to compliance of court directions. • To attend courts i.e. Labor courts, NIRC and Mohtasib etc. on hearing of critical nature of cases (when or if directed). Vigorous follow ups from Regions/Advocates for timely provisioning of Monthly Status and progress reports HR related court cases and maintaining MIS of HR cases under process work and other responsibility assigned by Wing Head HR Litigation as and when required. 03 Position/ Job Title: Litigation Officer HR — Karachi Academic / Professional Qualification • Minimum Bachelors' Degree in Law from a University / Institute recognized by HEC. Experience • Minimum 4 years' for Officer of relevant experience in handling HR related Legal affairs of the Bank. Assessment Tests / Interviews: Only shortlisted applicants strictly meeting the above-mentioned basic eligibility criteria will be invited for test and for panel interviews. Employment Type: The employment will be on contractual basis, for three years which may be renewed on discretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank's Policy I rules.
